Part 1: Gallery Tour
Our evening begins with a tour of Vault of Visions Art Gallery at 6:00 PM in Frederick, MD. This impressive facility will not only house a gallery dedicated to presenting art and photography to the public but also a production and fulfillment center. The third floor will feature studios for lease and a classroom available for rental. This is a unique chance to gain insight into a new gallery space and learn more about potential opportunities to display and sell your photography.
Part 2: Light Painting in Still Life Photography Program by Michael Pucciarelli
Following the quick gallery tour, we'll take a short 10-minute walk to the Delaplaine Center for the meeting part of our program. We’ll have some light snacks and start the program at 6:45 PM.
The Light Painting in Still Life Photography session will cover:
- Setting up a Light Painting Table: Learn how to create and make the most of a light painting setup, including discussions on modern and homemade equipment.
- Controlling Light: We'll explore various types of LED lights, along with the use of white scrims and filters to soften light. Equipment for holding backgrounds and lights will also be illustrated.
- Camera Settings: Discover the appropriate camera settings to capture stunning light-painted images.
- Post-Processing in Adobe Photoshop & Bridge: Learn how to use multiple exposures to create final images. We'll demonstrate how to use selection tools for editing and illustrate masking techniques in Adobe Photoshop to create your final master art file. You'll also receive many tips for quick photo processing.
We can't wait to see you there for an evening full of learning and connection!
