Image Salience and How to Achieve it in Portraiture

In our February program learn what Image Salience is, how the old world master painters used light and elements to make their image POP and dramatic (Salient), and how to align light, color, composition, depth of field, and subject to achieve the greatest WOW factor for your art. This course will include demonstrations and hands on opportunities to see and capture those WOW portraits.

Kelly's Bio

Retired after serving 29 years in the US Navy, Kelly now works in Human Systems Integration in the Department of the Navy, as well in his biggest passion, his photography business of fine art portraiture/weddings. Kelly holds a bachelor’s degree in management and a Master of Science degree in Human Systems Integration from the Naval PostGraduate School. He completed the UC Berkeley School of executive leadership as well as the Duke University leadership program. Kelly is a certified Master Training Specialist and the director of a 95 million dollar training development program that supports the new FORD Class Nuclear Carrier Program in Washington DC. Kelly is married to the pillar of our photography business, Kalina Schneider. Kelly has earned the PPA Certified Professional Photographer designation (CPP) and the PPA Craftsman Degree. Kelly is only a few merits away from the Master Photographer degree, and hopes to achieve that in the next year or two.
