Demystifying Print Competition with Christina Martin and Julie Kim

In this class, you’ll learn how better understand the print competition process and be more prepared when entering your images in print competition. Instructors Christina Martin and Julie Kim will cover the steps you need to take before competition. Understanding the benefits of image competition and delving into your personal reasons for competing will help you get the most out of your participation in print competition.

We will discuss the three levels of competition, image selection, how to analyze your images and make the best choices using the 12 Elements of a Merit Image. We will also walk through the judging procedures, the enhancement process, file preparation, and learning the tricks and techniques  behind a competition image. At the end of class, we will do an instructor led image critique and discussion. Please bring 3-5 of your images on a USB flash drive for this part of class. Improve your knowledge and understanding and discover the joys of print competition!
